Minute Deduction Order

When you start a conversation, minutes are deducted in this order:

  • Subscription minutes — Monthly allocation (refresh each cycle)
  • Pack minutes — One-time purchase (expire after 90 days)
  • Flex minutes — Add-on purchase (never expire)
  • PTO minutes — Earned through practice (never expire)

Common Questions

PTO FAQ

Do assessment conversations earn PTO?

No. Assessment characters (like Ana-Assessment) are always free and don't deduct minutes or award PTO. They exist solely to help you find your level.

What happens when I hit the 180 monthly cap?

You won't earn additional PTO until your 30-day period resets. Your bank balance (up to 500 PTO) remains intact — only the monthly earning counter resets.

Can I lose my PTO?

No. PTO never expires — even if you cancel your subscription. Your banked PTO remains in your account indefinitely. Only deleting your entire account removes it.

Why is there a 60 PTO minimum for redemption?

The 60 PTO minimum (one hour of practice) ensures redemptions are meaningful and encourages building a practice habit before redeeming. Think of it as "save before you spend."

What happens if I upgrade or downgrade?

Your existing PTO balance remains unchanged. Future conversations earn PTO at your new tier rate immediately. If you cancel entirely, your PTO stays for when you return.

Can I gift or transfer PTO to another user?

Currently, PTO is non-transferable. It's tied to your account to ensure the reward system recognizes individual practice commitment.
